Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Files from the official Cartoon Network India YouTube channel

According to where I got it, it’s a fixed version of an artwork from the 1700s (When Cheoljong lived), so one half was made in the 1700s, and the other half filled in in the 1980s. KeyolTranslater (talk) 15:58, 18 December 2025 (UTC)

The two flags are claimed as "own work" based on images found on Facebook. If the Clinton Foundation is the copyright holder and released it in the public domain, we would need a confirmation from them by email (please see COM:VRT for the procedure, and COM:THIRD for the whole process). It could be in the public domain for lack of copyright notice or renewal, but this has to be proved. Where and when was it first published? Deletion of Category:Brick buildings in Lazio

Today you deleted the category:Brick buildings in Lazio, that I had created some years ago and informed me so late that I had no chance to prevent it. The requiring user obviously had emptied it, destrictively.

Why is this ceategory necessary: Lazio has some important buildings of visible brick from various periods and therefore in various styles, som are of pagan Antiquity, some are of Cristian late Antiquity, such as Santo Stefano Rotondo, some are in Romanesque style, such as San Lorenzo in Piscibus and several residential towers, and some even are in Gothic style. The usage of visible brick is an important feature of European architecture, remember Pomposa Abbey, or Gotico Lombardo, or north-alpine Brick Gothic.

I did not succeed to get the note in the public deletion log.

But the user who had required the quick deletion must have emptied the category, before. Therefore his edit history must show the categories of single buildings that had been categorized in this category.--Ulamm (talk) 22:18, 18 December 2025 (UTC)

Not sure how to add copyvio for subtitles

As indicated here: TimedText:A_Star_Is_Born_(1937).webm.pt.srt — it doesn't seem to be able to be templated, but this set of Portuguese subtitles (which don't quite sync anyway...) is a new translation created by a user on another site (according to the other site - it could come from an actual home media release, too, but, either way, presumably not be the IP editor who added the subs).

Hi, I have seen that the image "Vistas Construccion nuevo municipio y piscina en villa alemana.jpg" was deleted for copyright violation. Despite the copyright license of the Flickr post, as far as I know, the images published by the goverment of my country (Chile) are under CC BY, and many times the Goverment´s agencies (like the Intendencia de Valparaíso) miss to eliminate the copyright in the images, for that reason I put in the archive the disclaimer "Despite the copyright claim on Flickr, this work of the Gov of Chile is licensed under CC BY" and the "CC-GobCL" license. This practice is common on Spanish Wikipedia and can be seen in other archives like in this image. About the File:Pasajeros arribando a Villa Alemana (1960).jpg, I took it from the link of the source and in the web it contains the next text in spanish: "Este sitio pretende dar una mirada retrospectiva a Chile y sus comunas existentes a comienzos del 1900. La idea que motiva esta iniciativa es poder testimoniar los cambios tanto culturales, sociales o arquitectónicos, a través de la lectura e interpretación de diversos registros fotográficos que dan cuenta del desarrollo histórico de nuestro país. También se propone estimular el debate y las opiniones que se puedan generar entre los interesados en conocer y compartir este trabajo. Se deja en claro que esta recopilación no pretende dar cátedra en historia, sino solo ser un transmisor de estas imágenes que cada uno puede observar e interpretar.

Murals of Seychelles

Since murals are considered two-dimensional works and are not covered by COM:Canada#FOP in places like Canada, what is the rule for murals in Seychelles? Can publicly visible murals, including those in government buildings, be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons without the artist’s permission (for example, Andy Alvis)? @Loopy30:  Done Blocked indef. First, I thought that there were only some iNaturalist images with a -NC license, but copyright violations were copied from many sources, and there is not even one with a free license.
